PFN, northern Christian elders condemn Jos killings, demand justice for victims
The Northern States Christian Elders Forum (NOSCEF) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) have condemned the killings in the Anguwan Rukuba area of Jos, Plateau state, describing the attack as “senseless and unacceptable”.
Gunmen invaded the community at about 7:30pm on Sunday, killing 27 people and injuring several others.
In separate statements issued on Wednesday in Kaduna, both groups urged security agencies to act swiftly in apprehending the perpetrators and ensuring they are brought to justice.
Sunday Oibe, chairman of NOSCEF, expressed grief and outrage over the “brutal killing of innocent citizens”. He noted that the attack, which occurred on Palm Sunday, underscored its barbarity.

Oibe said the incident was not only an assault on human life but also on the values of coexistence and religious harmony in Jos and Plateau state.
“NOSCEF strongly condemns this act of violence against innocent and defenceless citizens. Such bloodshed is unacceptable and must not continue,” he said.
